Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. The actress is best known for her character, Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she won an Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her part as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Born as the only daughter to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney grew up with her four brothers. While she was a small girl, Delaney wanted to be a court-reporter. But in highschool her modeling career began when she was able to model for commercials, and later after moving to New York. Her first acting job was as a teenage innocent on All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Delaney appeared in a number of TV movies, film and dramatics since then. Her career hasn't been satisfying or happy life in her personal. She has been in the past talented actress struggled to overcome the effects of alcohol and two marriages that failed. In 2005 her custody was confiscated from her.
